As I type this, a team consisting of three men is in the air, en route to Kenya! My father, Edwin, a family friend, Floyd, and our Worship and Missions Pastor at Celebration Baptist Church, Zach, will arrive in Nairobi on Tuesday morning. On Wednesday, they will be in the village of Siaya to witness the first h20 (hydration 2 others) water well being installed!!! We are so excited to have people on the ground there to witness and document the event!
Our partner in Kenya, Tom Abungu, spent several days in the village last week to get everything ready. He says, "H20
Friends, The villagers are now counting days. Less than a week and they
will have well being drilled. Bless you all who took part in this well
being drilled on the 4th January 2012." He also reported that they are "so happy and can't wait for next week".
Can you imagine how their lives will be impacted? I can't even fathom what a life changing event this will be for many, many people! Not only because of the blessing of clean water, but also because they will hear the Gospel preached. They will witness our team serving as the hands and feet of God.
Please join us in praying for the people involved in this project. For travel mercies, health, safety, and for them to seize the opportunity to share the Word with the villagers in Kenya.
We will update as we get new information. After the guys land in Nairobi, we probably won't hear anything for close to a week. The suspense will be terrible!
For the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd; he will lead them to springs of living water. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.’- Revelation 7:17
